Nice and simple OP! Looking at the telltale odd, sometimes distorted background of the cats, I could immediately recognize this as "this cat does not exist". Indeed the project's README confirms it.
I thought something was odd. None of those cats seemed real, and I clicked "dismiss" on all of them.

Yeah I saw that they have an images directory in the GitHub source.. so the cats are limited and static. Thecatapi has a purfect selection of cats compared to this

This has been tried, at least for dogs. It doesn't exist for a variety of reasons, but I cannot find any articles about why it failed and I only have second hand knowledge.

I'm glad that I missed out on this era of dating (by being married).
Tinder is the new way to say "Hey baby" at a bar, not the new way to meet someone and slowly get to like them more and more. Everything that existed previously is still there, it just takes more courage than letting a computer do the hard part for you.

Oddly enough, I ended up with both a wife and cats. I was happy with one cat, but she wanted more than that. We compromised and now have four.
My two cats would like me to have at least four or more spouses, so they get more attention and fed more often.
Yes, that's why I had children. This way the cats can pretend that someone else didn't feed them and get a second helping.
