Fyi, FTX is worth 32B with just 12 engineers!
When people say things like "10x engineers", they mean it as amount/quality of software delivered.
FTX valuation is from their market share, ability to navigate financial regulation, advertising, etc.. The software is not the primary factor there, it just has to not be a failure.
By your metric, all the engineers working in non-profits are "0X". And the accounts guy who negotiated discount with AWS is 10000X engineer.

Ftx has 12 engineers but only 8 votes there for 1000x engineers. So the other 4 engineers are sane.
