> Because if you can undermine me, if you can make me fail, if you can reduce our ability to get promoted and reduce our ability to get ahead, you prove that we didn’t belong in the first place.
Spot on, most of the time it is covert tactics like this, by undermining, credit taking, and not giving the proper tools and authority to carry on the work and succeed, it is a crafted environment to make it eminent to fail, or at least, not having the glory of success.
I honestly never understood anyone who carries out these shenanigans, I mean, you and them are slaves to that corp, why are you trying to feel you are a better slave to that said corp and making someone else life worse!? Be nice, it doesn’t take much effort.

Exactly what was asked for, demanded even.
Diversity programs and mandated policies are the fruits of activism in this space. Accusations of systemic racism formed the basis of these demands. Campaigning for quotas and "non-majority" bean-counting has spread across the world.
Here in Australia, there's roles in government departments and other places reserved for diversity hires. My friend who happens to be in a "majority culture group", failed to qualify for a role she wanted within the organisation because the position was pre-assigned for diversity. She never complained, she just told me it happened. I thought it was unfair.
> "While eating breakfast, two white employees asked me to clean up after their mess. I am a program manager," one account read.
Watch out for fake racism, it's everywhere. The actual "incident", if any, likely didn't happen as described. Or it was a joke. If someone at work asked me to clean up their mess, I'd laugh and tell them to "f-off", and hopefully think of a witty comeback, as colleagues do every day across the world.
