The use of the wheelchair emoji for the slow "laydev" is a bit yikes.

Anyway, I tried the benchmark linked and on Firefox the "ninja style" was 12.26 % slower, not 4.2x faster like the article suggests.

Interesting observation with Firefox. It probably comes from the fact that Mozilla use different JavaScript engine than V8 (SpiderMonkey).

But thank you for the feedback - will update the post accordingly.
