don't they?
The larger question is why would one need AI if the underlying problem of SaaS sprawl and data silos could be addressed without AI
Businesses are fatigued by the rising complexity, shelfware, and outdated per-seat pricing of traditional SaaS. The future of enterprise software is agentic, where automation will execute workflows end-to-end, and be priced by actual outcomes delivered.
It also doesn't address exactly how these AI agents get built and maintained. Are we back to large internal IT dev orgs who build and maintain them? Or is it delivered from a vendor (in other words, SaaS)?
Sure, pricing and UX are absolutely going to have large changes. But that doesn't mean the underlying systems and delivery mechanisms differ.
