For those who don't know. "Bring your own" or BYO router, is very common in Australia but none the less, many people stick with the ISP supplied unit and even carry it between providers: Now we have a national layer-2 Fabric, and overlay virtualised ISPs (called RSPs) on top, this is usually simple. Even back in the ADSL days it wasn't exactly hard.
TP-Link has been extremely popular here. Mikrotik is big in Indonesia. Maybe we should jump ship? (I have used them, they have a very bad name in some segments for not fixing long standing bugs, but then again, its a cigarette box sized BGP speaking device. How cool is that!)
