Ask a doctor, nobody can make a meaningful diagnosis from such a brief description.
If I understand you correctly, that's normal. But this really isn't the place to ask. Maybe try posting a photo reddit if you don't want to see a doc?
The temple itself is an indent, but above that indent is not likely to be another indent. As the others mentioned go see a doctor and have them touch your head instead of expensive scans. If you are feeling it, they should too. A nurse should also be able to feel it and tell you if something is concerning and if you should schedual a visit with a doctor.
Maybe you should ask a medical professional about this.
