Yes, there is a risk of a bad reaction from the vaccine. Or something we don't know about yet. But there's also more we might not know of the long term effects of Covid-19 exposure. Waiting for proof of 1 to spite the other may not work out so well when the virus is on its own schedule, jumping from person to person.

Avoiding both the vaccine and Covid-19 exposure may not be viable long term. Everyone's getting exposed at some point. Corona's have never been eradicated in human history, so I wouldn't count on the new corona going away. Eventually that virus is finding a way to hop into your body. Best to prepare your immune system.

Kettlebells. It's space efficient for a home gym. Cheaper initial investment than a barbell and rack. And you can train explosive movements like snatching.

> into a pedophile pizza place conspiracy theory

The Epstein incident where they used the code word "pizza" for sex turned out to be real. Imaginations running wild turned that into a false conspiracy about a literal pizza shop. Is it fair to criticize wikileaks for unrelated parties imaginations running wild?

Your co-founder wants to profit from 11 months of your life and leave you in the gutter. 11 months is about 2% of your entire adult working life.

Don't give in to anything. The guy is a crook.

He should have proposed the paltry 3% before you dedicated 11 months of your life on the business.

At the very least he should offer to pay you a market salary for the 11 months you worked. He could take out a loan to pay you.

Most richer people diversify their wealth. You may be hard pressed to find a billionaire who actually has $1 billion in cash.

Cash would most likely be the minority of their wealth. As inflation occurs, they do take a hit on their cash holdings. But their land, stocks, apartment complexes, etc may increase in value.

> It should devalue the money that they already have, benefitting the poor

Even if all people both rich and poor held all their wealth in the form of cash, that would certainly hurt the poor too. Say a poor person works 8 hours a day. His 8 hours of work grant him buying power of 3 meals. After inflation his 8 hours of work grant him buying power for only 2 meals. This is not just a theoretical, look at McDonalds meal prices, you can't get a sandwich for a $1 anymore.

There are some benefits to inflation. It's cheaper to employ poor people willing to work the now cheaper paper. So it may create some new jobs that otherwise may never have been created.

Yes I do. Earth is proof life can exist in this universe (obviously). It seems reasonable a basic form of life exists elsewhere.

I don't think we will ever observe alien life as it's too hard. Other solar systems are too far away, let alone other galaxies. We can't even properly observe nearby planets such as Venus.

But his "highly unusual" success is lighting that strikes 5 times in a row. Maybe he's onto something. His lighting strikes consistently in completely different domains too.

Well, witches are/were real. The magical powers part may be up for debate.

I will take it as soon as possible.

I don't have allergic reactions.

The risk of the vaccine on 50k people has proven safer than a random sample of 50k people exposed to Covid-19.

> You give near negative returns to companies

Does California invest money/resources to companies? Or is it more of an indirect thing, such as maintaining roads and bridges?

Why are businesses choosing to hop off the California gravy train? Is the gravy not worth the taxes? Is the gravy just hyperbole?

> Is there any evidence

Well that's the rub for future unknowns. You don't know what specific issue you might be concerned about until it happens in the future. People in 1930 couldn't collect evidence for super bacteria as it was an unknown at that time.

FYI, I'm getting the vaccine and trust the test results. Just pointing out unknowns are hard to provide evidence for or against.

You can be exposed while being responsible. An innocent trip to the grocery store may result in your hand touching a cart with virus on it. Then you adjust your face mask, hand to mouth. Or touch a food delivery package with virus on it, then hand to mouth.

Unless you are really taking isolation procedures seriously, with wipe downs, gloves, etc.

I listed as opinion, but it is actually a fact. It's a phenomenon across sports. Including wrestlers who do long drawn out sessions, losing strength and mass as a result of their training.

Clean/press/squat complexes with double 24kg kettlebells.

active rest days are low volume pushups, swings, pullups/chinups.

<my opinion>

No cardio crap ever. Heart is worked plenty doing strength/explosive exercise and just every day living walking around. Long drawn out cardio like running cannibalizes muscle mass which is counter productive for aging well. Strength training preserves muscle mass and bone density. It's what everyone should do.

Do the values need to be secret? Not guessable/predictable?

If that's not a concern, just increment a number 1, 2, 3...N. Encode it in the URL in base-36 (alpha numeric).

It all depends on the requirements of your ID.

> Is $1M not enough?

I don't think it's enough in your case. A good chunk of that money is from your house which you no longer have. Once you buy another (or rent) those will be big drains on your cash. So you really don't have $1 million free and clear to retire on.

It sounds like you are still young, only working 8 years. Early 30's? Unless you move to a low cost area and live very frugally, $1 million might not last into old age.

Being a "millionaire" isn't what it used to be. It's a lot of money to be sure, but you are not rich. It may grant a lifetime of frugal retired living, not rich retired living.

For (A) and (B) it is possible for that to become part of the process. It's possible for individual citizens like you and me to count the votes, verify electric signatures, verify a reproducible build, etc.

Of course this level of accountability may never happen. There may be some motivation to keep a few gray areas on the side closed so a few fake votes can be injected here and there.

It's needs to be open to verify reproducible builds. Otherwise a hacked compiler can inject secret election rigging code.

The only reason to keep the source private is for obscurity. Making it harder to hack. It's not a good reason though. For things with high value and motivation to hack, hiding the source doesn't do much. The final compiled code can be treated as "source", read and understood, then hacked.

You're not submitting data to him, so no benefit to protect you there.

There is a risk downloading the text. Does it warrant a signature? I don't think so.

When you hand out candy on Halloween you could include a digital signature with each piece you hand out. People receiving the candy would have more confidence it came from you, and not a bad guy wearing a mask, sitting on your front porch impersonating you.

Does everything need signatures? The stakes of accepting candy are much higher simple raw text.

We still haven't stamped out the older corona viruses (ie common cold). Those corona's have cycled through the population for so many centuries, everyone still alive has some resistance.

The same will happen with this new corona. A vaccine could make your first exposure to the virus much safer. Social distancing is meant to flatten hospital capacity curves and buy time for vulnerable people to get a vaccine before their first exposure.

Does any government have a goal of permanently ending corona virus? I'm not aware of any. It is with us for the next 5000+ years.
