> only high-karma users have the option of downvoting/moderating
Where did I say you didn't use a 500+ karma account to downvote and flag?
> do not wish to confuse my comment history on the main nick
If you stand by your posts here, and you don't believe they're racist, and "comment history confusion" (whatever that means) is the only reason you posted under the name "smellyindian", then what's your main nick? (Feel free to keep all your other accounts secret.)
> I simply wish to distance myself from the discussion
Your comments had nothing to do with the subject of when Americans stopped marrying cousins, and were entirely about "Indians", "Pakistani rat children", claims of "widely prevalent" acts of kidnapping ignored by the authorities, backed up with zero sources, and repeated complaints about "cultural sensitivities".
> Also, I am not racist, and nor are my comments. Pakistan is a country, not a race. India is a country, not a race.
Shit non-racists are always having to say, of course.
> If you mean subcontinental Asians, yes, that could broadly be termed a race.
If you accept there's a racial factor, what are you arguing about?
> I have other throwaway accounts called nonsmellyindians
> They also helped fund terrorist organisations like ISIS.
Do you have a link to this? All I can find on Google (apart from six members of staff being fired over a "mock beheading video") is a story about 13 HSBC customers who had links to ISIS.
No, they're statements about behavior, and no more "personal attacks" than you falsely accusing me of making personal attacks, or of falsely accusing me of "ranting" about a "grand conspiracy at foot".
> This is an allusion to conspiracy.
So it's no longer a "grand conspiracy", just a mere "allusion to conspiracy"?
What's the "conspiracy" you claim I'm alluding to then?
> All of which is to say thst you could actually trust the people telling you their stories in the article, or discuss the underlying issues
As in the last time you hijacked a thread as an excuse to complain about other people expressing an opinion you personally disagree with, you haven't discussed, or shown any interest in discussing, a single issue in the article.
You flag people left right and center, simply because they don't happen share your personal views.
When that doesn't remove their posts, you throw around insults like "stupidity", "childishly", "asinine points", "crazy" and accusations of intellectual dishonesty.
Again, all because other people don't happen to share your personal views, which you seem to think are the last and only word on any issue.
You complain that the article is flagged, despite also complaining that articles like this produce "utterly predictable" comments.
Despite the "grotesque" and "depressing" nature of the thread, you can't help but wade into it yourself, where in multiple posts the only one where you don't post insults or complain about people with different opinions is this, straight out of Python[1]:
Remarkable that in both threads two other usernames specifically namecheck you, "IntronExon", the 40 day old account (with ~3000 karma, that posts like a veteran).
If you have difficulty accepting anything that doesn't confirm your bias then, yes, I can see it might be difficult, otherwise it's really quite easy to accept that, for example, the current Prime Minister of Nepal is a Communist.
> Contrary to what Tech-Noir is slinging, I’m not a mod or trying to act like one.
I didn't claim you were a mod, I said you were effecting the tone of a mod ("Please don't..."), which you were.
> [I'm] wishing that the article posted didn’t trigger so many people’s so many people’s pro/anti-communism kneejerk.
At the time I replied to you, you and gnarbarian made up half the comments here, yet neither you were discussing the article. Your own posts were simply about the Holocaust, Holodomor, Mao, Hitler, etc.
The entire thread from gnarbarian's original post on should be nuked.
He's posting under the fake nick "smelly indian" because he lacks the guts to post this kind of shit under his real account :
