If a single company controls a bunch of AI girlfriends which can be manipulated in order to control the minds of people, and also it is much more powerful because it can engage in private and personal conversations in an extremely low price, it can be dangerous to all of us.

tldr One company controls a lot of "girlfriends" and it's cheaper to have long private conversations.

I think we should ban it. Like, would you ever feel safe if you knew that a man sitting besides you is paying for an AI "girlfriend" to talk with him...?

Sounds too weird to gain traction, but if it does, I'll keep my distance.

I appreciate your input showing the hypocrisy of the act along with its positive possible outcome.

Luckily I'm also a shareholder.

Thought about buying Activision stock to profit from the acquisition, but my hunch said otherwise... If I remember correctly Buffet's Berkshire holds Activision, RIP.

I own Netflix although I mostly use stremio with torrentino. Seems like statistics got it right.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'll add it to the list of words I'm supposed to use to sound smart.

However, I did find the main argument compelling, through my own waste of time (yes I learned it the hard way) I've come to acknowledge that the tradeoff for prompting GPT in order to get a valuable answer, is just not worth it.

However, it does seem that most of the people are intrigued by "it can answer anything with the right prompt" promise, and they devote a lot of time in order to fulfill it.

You cannot trust GPT, you cannot rely on it and it can't replace anyone, until it learns to prompt itself.

I think what this article really implies is that - we the humans are doing the quality assurance for the GPT answers, if we take that out of the equation, and we don't give it quality prompts, etc.

It's worth nothing.
