Speaking about up-sampling, Im curious to know your opinion on the benefits of it. Im sending CD resolution audio as well as web streams from soundcloud.com to cambridge audio azur 840C and its not clear if its the up-sampling that makes the difference or their per channel wolfson dac arch. The iPod Video with their dac sounded amazing with just normal AAC files compared to the iPods before or after it.

The "Liquid Glass" button slowness on macOS is tolerable (coz I can really point at the center of a button with the mouse pointer) compared to the same problem on iOS 26. I have to literally tap several times on core system UI elements like navigation bar left and right buttons for the touches to register, this is Bad.

I had the same experience, I mostly import b/w photos after editing in Capture One, the magic stick raises brightness, sometimes adds sepia. Most of the time these edits improve the photo. I always check proposed edits for newly imported photos that I think look dull in Photos.app grid

Unfortunately Kagi Translate is consistently dog slow (paid account) compared to google translate. It takes around 4 sec for Any translation to load in web ui.

In my experience, often the libs provided by manufacturers are thin wrappers over physical interface setup and communication in the form of a single header and cpp file. Isnt it easier to just use them instead of generating differently phrased copies of them?

I bought Synology RS217 for $100 last year and it's the best tech purchase I made in years. The software it comes with is the best web interface I experienced in years. The simplicity, stability and attention to detail reminds me of old macs. I have macmini as application server and did not expect to use Synology for anything but file storage / replication. However it comes with a great torrent client that I use all the time now. We also use Synology Office instead of google docs now. It exceeded all my expectations and when it dies, I will immediately buy one of the new rack stations they offer.
