I'm a colorist and it absolutely does effect color. Every telecine is different and will create a different looking scan. Telecine operators will do a one light pass to try and compensate but any scan needs to be adjusted to achieve what the artist's original vision was.

There is classified physical documentation that the IGIC is in possession of and has spent nearly four years verifying and found to be credible and corroborated by dozens of first hand witnesses over the course of their investigation.

Unfortunately all of that is still classified but congresspeople who have been briefed have been sufficiently motivated to introduce legislation to investigate further (as Chuck Schumer has recently done in the Senate).

You don't need an upvote/downvote. If someone searches for X and clicks on results you just record when they stop trying sites or new search terms as you can assume the query has been answered. Reward that site. Most of them are already doing this in some form.

There aren't any serious edit houses that use FCP X outside of gimmick advertising deals like some late night shows. Everyone is using Avid or increasingly Premiere anyway.

In my experience, the past five years have seen a dramatic shift to windows in professional facilities (Oscar winning editors).

I do know one very high end editor who cuts on a Mac mini. The old school guys are used to proxy workflows and you don't need lots of power for that anyway.
