Neat, I did not know civ2 had implemented the global warming mechanic.
Anyone who wants a game thats in the same vein, i can somewhat recommend Humankind. But it doesn't really have climate change mechanics, more like 'IPCC naming and shaming' since factions will hate on factions that pollute, even in the medieval era..
I would have appreciated that global warming was a thing that needs to be researched, since the phenomenon has only been discovered relatively late (in terms of the entire span of human civilization).
I don't know, I don't see the similarity. I didn't really like Prey (or any prop hunt games for that matter). It's a new genre mix. I guess I can see the appeal.
I don't know how Star Citizen is going to hold off against Elite Dangerous. It's probably great for Chris to actualize his dreams, but he should realize he's doing in on somebody else's dime. Let's be honest, the space sim has generally one viable gameplay loop formula (the 4Xs, as a puny individual and then as a collective). I've played a few, and by far I liked ED the most (in its execution) and even then, it devolves into farm fest. Which I assume Star Citizen is going to turn out anyways. In the coming ED update they would be similar in terms of features.
I'm saying it's not making me want to play Star Citizen at all (unless if I backed the game, that would be a different story).
Not disagreeing with anything you said. But just want to add that Lion Air themselves do not have a good reputation in terms of safety and timeliness. And the truth of the matter is that some companies in Indonesia have a bad culture, where it would put the word 'lobbying' to shame. It does put things into perspective.
Last time I went there (July 2019, Shanghai), I had to submit myself to a fingerprint scan. As I recalled I have done the fingerprint scan previously. But this time, for some reason, the machine did not work or had an error, and the immigration officer saw it. She fiddled with my hand and checked the machine, was confused, then allowed me to passport check anyway.
I don't think you can refuse a fingerprint check. But if one can somehow make their fingerprints unreadable, through one way or another, you probably could bypass it.
One of my coworker is notoriously hard to fingerprint scan. Her fingerprints are allegedly busted up due to all the hand washing she'd done in her previous line of work. So maybe it can be bypassed somehow.
Depends on how you define "on strike full retard", at least where I live (Indonesia), it is spot on.
Some context: Indonesian govt. subsidizes fuel to quite a large degree, up to ~50% of relative to petrol prices. Over the years, they've been trying to draw down, but it's a touchy subject.
Last year, ~10% of state budget was spent on fuel subsidies (to give us a sense of scale).
