I think it's relevant to point out the potent anti-depressant effects many people experience with natural supplements such as sam-e and 5htp. It's unfortunate that these drugs are rarely prescribed (in the U.S.). Few clinical studies have been done on these and there is little economic motivation for drug companies since these are un-patentable substances.
I'm curious of the different impact between normal sleep deprivation and primary insomnia. It's common that insomniacs don't feel sleepy during the day as compared to a normal sleeper that simply didn't get enough.

I would say 1 hour, i.e. $99/hr, is a more accurate statement. This would also help make the product appear more affordable, and as a better investment.

I used Laravel for a small project for the past couple months. Although I started web development in PHP, I am strictly a Ruby/Rails developer right now and I have to say working in Laravel felt very natural and right at home. I'm not saying that being Rails-like is merit in it's own right, but I had that same feeling with Laravel as I did when I first started using Rails. I'd highly recommend trying this framework and hope with more projects we can see some solid documentation grow.
To your latter point, it's certainly possible. You could replace "Ford or GM" with a large 90s computer manufacturer, e.g. HP, but Apple eventually decided they wanted to via Apple stores.

Having started a job board before (orangeslyce.com), one recommendation I have is to pre-seed the board with jobs to help get over the chicken/egg problem. You can hustle analog and get some posts or even copy quality postings off other sites. Sure they won't be paying customers, but it's kindling for the fire and gives the appearance of social proof.
I tried to register 4+ times with a password that included special characters, but each time it said my password didn't match. Once I changed it to an insecure password, it went through. I could have been bad typing on my part 4 times, but... you may want to test this.
Also - It doesn't appear that the profile visibility dropdown gets repopulated after form submission failure with the previously selected option.
Founder of Blogic here. We did a "Review my startup" on HN a few weeks ago. Based on the feedback and requests, we pivoted to generate WordPress themes instead of just hosting our own custom blogging platform. I hope this provides as much value as I think it will.
Sorry if I came off as overly critical or attacking, I didn't mean to. I actually didn't know which was the case. To be honest, I have done similar "clever marketing" pages and spent much more time than I should have on them. Unfortunately for me, my goal wasn't to get HN traffic, nor did I even think about it. I just thought my users would like my startup better, but I realized they would like 1-2 days spent on the product even better.
Personally I think this is very clever and a great hack. However, I'd like to know how long it took to create this and point out that the time would probably be better spent directly building the product given the startup's stage, rather than superficial pages. Then again, maybe the intention all along was to get traffic from HN, in which case I'm sure it was worth it.
