glad to hear! I got more flak than praise when I launched tasks 2 years ago since people didn't want mise to get too complex but I'm glad I stuck with my guns and pushed it anyways. I thought bringing tasks and tools together made a lot of sense and I'm glad you're seeing the value of it
they're literally just bash scripts so you don't need mise to run them. I've heard several users have setups where they have people with and without mise running them.
Among many reasons I think one is that it has a poor amount of open libraries/frameworks when you stack it up against other languages. The culture is much more DIY so there isn't a lot to help you get started with a new application.
I've never been a Java dev, but as I understand the package manager story is/was really bad. I've always wondered if that's part of the reason why you see so few open source efforts compared to other languages.
Fun fact: Heroku's app.json actually uses a YAML parser so even though it isn't documented you could use YAML with it. (At least this was the case years ago, it's possible it may have changed)
But they said 2018 which implies there is a specific game in mind. Forbidden West was announced in 2020. Based on other answers it sounds like Battlefield V.
I understand this is a common theme but I was actually curious which specific game they were talking about.
