Really bold move, good for Kroger. However, I wish they had a substitute in place - like they started accepting Venmo, PayPal, or build their own "Bill me Later".
Team up with a good ux designer so that you can wireframe/prototype your idea before you spend any development time. I'd love to help - www.andyphil.com
Sorry, but you completely missed the mark on this one. Are you in UX or have you led design thinking sessions? It's successful because the product stops being something the designer created and starts being a product the whole team created. It gives everyone, no matter your role, a voice in the product and the creativity to build what you think the product should be.
UX Designer here. It took me a long time, almost 4 years of college, to train my creative muscle. Most people don't wake up one day and are instantly creative, it takes hard work and dedication just like any other skill.
Columbus, Ohio (#8 on the list) native here working in User Experience Design making an average tech salary. At the end of every month I'm always amazed at how much I can put in savings and travel because of the low cost of living. I live downtown and my rent is only $750. There also seems to be high demand for jobs, but not enough talent to fill those jobs.
