This bills itself as 'ActiveRecord for Javascript'. Kinda relies on Graphiti's implementation of the JSON API spec. I really like Graphiti and Spraypaint though.
Okay, so we need to make sure that anyone that could ever potentially edit this file has this exact same configuration setup and is using emacs?
That's dumb and flaky. You sound like one of those guys that spends thousands of hours customizing/tweaking things instead of just accomplishing tasks.
Toxic people absolutely demolish morale and productivity. The effects are strong enough that even a hint of egotistical behavior is enough to put you out of the running (for good reason).
This is a direct mapping of the schema into a REST format to be consumed by frontend applications. It doesn't get much "SQL"ier as far as the frontend is concerned. What alternative would you present?
Frameworks like Rails/Django are still an extremely viable way to go; even just for an API. I've seen so many cases of early microservices adoption when something like RoR would have saved them a ton of headache. If you need that kind of scale then great, but it's more likely that "you ain't gonna need it".
lol
