Am I the only one who clicks on these kind of articles holding out hope to see the glimmer of Linux on an actual CRT from composit outputs?

But it's always just screen shots from an emulator...

Depends on how complex the part is. I've seen adaptive toolpath posts get 1,000s of lines long.

Another problem with these old controls is even when code is sent over serial, they are slow. Think like less than 9600 baud.

They also don't have the computing power to do adaptive or other modern tool paths.

It's not nothing. Plus the fact that it's money not not getting shipped out of Europe to hostile regions is a net win.

I mean this has been a this has been a theme going back further than "Shadow of the Colossus" or "Undertale".

Both "Chrono Trigger" and "Crono Cross" make you question your actions and whether or not it was worth on a monster genocide.

I've never understood GIMP's approach to copy paste either. They've made a decision that copy and paste must require as many un-intuitive steps as possible.

Most graphics programs let you select a region, copy it and then move the copy around to where you want it, the end. You can usually paste into new layer if needed.

But not in GIMP for some reason you have to copy something and 'anchor it' or convert it to a new layer before you ever see it.

This kind of thing just makes me use other software.

The reality is anyone generate useful code with an AI agent now. Dores in accounting can now automate all her spreadsheets in a single afternoon.

Not trying to hype AI, but we are in an interesting transitional period.

Also the amount of people in DC who drive while smoking weed seems very high(no pun intended). Based on the number of cars that can be smelled from another car while in traffic.

You are correct, I put income level in there too. We can't let Peter Thiel or Mark Zuckerberg off the hook either.

Why is it that every single person born between 1940 and 1965 (or making more than $1 million per year) just wants to see all freedoms erased and every natural resource exhausted for their personal comfort?

Seems like most of the 'tasteless' habits in the article are also just laziness.

I think paper-folding machines are something of a lost art. They’ve been around for literally centuries at this point, but there are so many interesting and useful things that can be made out of paper. Everything from packaging to envelopes to origami.

I wish there were smaller, cheaper versions on the market.

Besides Excel, CAD/CAM programs and maybe games? Is there really a reason to use windows?
