The word "prediction" still holds a lot of weight. LLM's only can predict what has been written. This is a hard limit.

That's why I like to build a complete feature and the infrastructure myself first, so the AI will have a picture of how the code should look and where it should live.

Or I use the short-leash method and I will instruct the AI build infrastructure first, without even talking about features yet.

I really wished these comments were the norm and not the exception.

They will happily google it for you and give you the top reddit comment.

This is worse.

A post generated by AI with data generated by AI. Worthless.

This page includes a video of our Prime Minister, in English. You should listen to what he says. The time of depending on America's security umbrella is over.

30k requests and hour? A 5 euro VPS can handle this easily.

It's not about privacy, it's about control.

This is a direct result of Trump being in power. Before his regime, we (The Netherlands) trusted USA 1000%, this takeover would not even have been news.

This stance has shifted completely. And you can thank one guy for it.

Stop relying on Github.

Self hosted Gitlab with self hosted (or AWS) runners running your pipelines.. We only use Github as a mirror for our public repositories.

> If the first they hear of an outage is when user requests start to fail, then that's a failure in their monitoring as well.

Isn't that what monitoring actually is? The issue seems to be in their testing, not monitoring.

You're looking at it too shallow. Kids don't bike because everything is too far away, because they expect you to drive out of the suburbs. The roads feel less safe, because everyone is in a car. Everyone in cars are unanimous, no social control.

When you have infrastructure that doesn't rely on cars, you will have schools and stores and communities right in your "suburb".

4-5 years is not short? Don't companiess write off their hardware after 3 years mostly anyway?

This is a product of making everyone and everything reliant on cars. Social control is out of the window if nobody wanders the streets.

Not leaving the front yard is unthinkable in many countries outside the US.

Never take anything that written on the medications with a grain of salt. Disregard everything that you have read online. The medicine instructions are your single source of truth

Why? Does ibuprofen work better? It's bad for your stomach walls.
