Is this a parody of something?

"raw html" that does not work without JS (I mean literally, links are not links without JS), but on the other hand looks ugly even if 10 lines of CSS would make it look nice

You can't post direct links you get from youtube on your server to the users, they will get 403 most often if they use these links from different IP.

Heck, you even have the IP in the link itself :) 2605:a140:2236:8761::1

Also for protected media, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJQP7kiw5Fk it only gives 360p and audio this way. Far from 4K you promise.

In Poland it's rare, but it's there. I have one and my last two summer vacation stay places had them.

I wonder if is there a monetary reason to be on youtube (music)?

I listen to most music on yt music (although their client sucks) and buy stuff on bandcamp whenever i love some band and it's available there. I've never seen a value in spotify - limited library with no ability to fill the gaps with custom files (like you can do on YT music), client is meh, additional cost or ads are meh too.

Facebook is long dead to me. Half of the pages I once subscribed to are taken over by bots posting scams and even porn, with graphic thumbnails, yet there is no single filter to catch this, wtf.

i liked seeing README immediately. I don't care that much for files list, source code. But README is the essence of what I'm looking for usually

> Touchscreens. They are a safety hazard.

That's true. But keep in mind everyone have them now. They can be the threat to you.

A car that does good on crash tests should also be very preferred now :)

It should not matter that I'm using Xiaomi.eu ROM, this was available on stock rom too.

But actually you made me think.. So I'm not sure about current models sold in EU, they removed a lot of MIUI features and replaced them with shitty Google alternatives on EU roms. But would they remove such a "deep" feature? It's not "just an app", it's a system core feature to me.

If you have this "Security"/"Control panel" (idk how it's named in English right now) app (the one with green shield icon) this feature should be available to you

Fingerprint is never safe. I can just get your phone and it will be all covered with your fingerprints.

It's like sticking a note with a password on your computer :)

Personal protip: I use fingerprint lock, but anything sensitive on my phone is blocked with extra pattern lock. With unlocked phone you can access my gallery but you cannot access bank apps. IIRC this will be the built in feature of next Android, I use Xiaomi smartphone which has many extra security features like this one since basically always. Maybe there is an app for this too, I don't know.

Of course this isn't 100% secure, I probably have USB Debugging unlocked, but at least saves me from a random person just grabbing my phone while I'm on a bus and running away with unlocked phone.

Before anyone asks "But aren't bank apps already locked with their own PIN codes?" - yes, they are. But some forces me to have 4 digits PIN only, some even suggests using fingerprint to unlock them (and for some I do). But I'm also blocking Google Play, a browser where I do the most private stuff, I could block a messenger app. Basic apps does not have extra security features.

I saw a device (a drill or something) that had a standard USB-C plug on it's charger. I thought - nice, I can charge a drill with my PD charger or use it's charger to charge my phone while I'm in the garage!

But the charger was always giving 12 or even 20V (i don't remember exactly, I don't have access to this device now).

A real trap.

This is great tool, I use it everyday, but far from it's Windows based original Everything.

Also this is anbandoned apparently, which makes me extra sad, because it lacks few crucial features like: - being able to just remove a file from the index if you delete it from the app directly (insted it shows a window how it "soon" gonna be implemented) - while i understand that indexing service is more complex job - at least caching the index would be nice, because right now when i start the app i have to wait for it to index everything again, but usually i search for files that exists for a long time, not these that was created between my fsearch uses

So yeah. Cool dead and incomplete piece of software ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ From time to time I look for better alternative, if you happen to know one - let me know.

That's the problem with Google Drive or any synced state clouds. People think about them as "I have it on my local computer and in the cloud, so I'm much safer".

A lot of bad things can happen that are even invisible to the user until they find out data is missing.

You save a file on a disk, something goes wrong with the cloud client, especially on bad connection and your file is either never synced (you will lose it on OS reinstall) or even deleted on your side.

Cloud provider has some issues, they restore the backup and things are synced back on your computer to their restored state.

Cloud provider started to dislike a file (their antivirus marked it), so they remove it from their side and it syncs to your computer. But that was a false positive (well, you could have your reasons to keep the infected file as well).

Ok, I know, at least for Google Drive their official client is pretty well written (I was using it for a long time), but bugs happen.

Conclusion? Make your own backup.

Each time I try Firefox something is not right for me. No matter if I'm on windows or Linux. GUI rendering issues, freezes, ghost process that doesn't stop when I close the browser. Each time something new.

Plus it doesn't offer me as much configurability as Vivaldi, at least in these areas I care for.

I'd love to hear that FF has 50% usage ratę again, but I will stick to chromium based browser.
