prompt writing and parsing the AI output, and thats still work you have to do - not sure why you bring up parallelism since you cant do other things while you're writing the prompts

AI can write 2000 lines faster than you, but you can write the 2000 lines correctly first shot faster than having AI do 10 iterations on these 2000 lines with your guidance to finally get it right

I know that a better plan could mean fewer iterations, but again that extends the time you need to spend on that plan => the total time of the AI solution

here's a nice critique of SOLID principles:

you can't be serious, have an honest look at the history of US involvment around the world in the last ~80 years and tell me how can you be pro-West and pro-capitalist...

hell, even just the situation we're in right now perfectly illustrates what I mean - a rapist president trying to save face and causing the death and suffering of thousands of innocent people - and you're wrong if you think capitalist forces didn't lead us to this point

I've recently moved my storage to Jottacloud (Norway), highly recommend - they do - gdrive style storage - dropbox style synced folders - photo app/backups - PC folder backups with apps for mac/win and a cli for linux

People go into finance or adtech not because they have some innate drive towards making markets liquid, they go there mostly because it's more money -> higher quality of life. Moving more money into socially meaningful and beneficial fields (which is still far from a planned economy as the sibling comment noted) is not denying anyone agency.

how do you do graphing/maps? I'm guessing it's some plugins?

It doesn't align with your point

My point is that your reasoning is too reductive - completely ignoring the mechanics of the system - and you claim the system is capable of _anything_ if prompted correctly. You wouldn't say the replicator system is capable of the reasoning outlined in the article, right?

a system that copies its input into the output is capable of any output, no?

funny you say that, I was literally just booking a flight with air china yesterday and the UX was 10x better than the average wizzair/ryanair experience - a clear, readable UI (with a great table comparison of prices +-3 days from the selected dates), no ads, no random services getting pushed in your face, no booking tabs automatically opening in the background

quite the opposite actually, your comment adds nothing to the discussion

not sure I'd trust what Sam Altman publicly says in this regard, here's a rather different picture: https://www.wheresyoured.at/oai_docs

These concerns are already perfectly applicable to the current state of the world, no? More planetary boundaries keep getting crossed due to unnecessarily large resource usage, the poorest people don't have access (even though they could) to the resources necessary to survive...
