it's bad if you think local single user.

if you actually use remote X capabilities, wayland is no replacement.

also it deals better if you consider apps hostile and want to still run them with some integration with the desktop but still safely isolated. X complements chroot et al much better. which I guess fits this project since this is pretty much Wine but for bsd/osx instead of linux/win

what did you work on out of college?

and how do you feel about apple scaning all your local device data and reporting hash matches to the (undisclosed) authorities under the "think of the children" banner?

blockchain in the context of the society you describe is a fascists wet dream.

there's a reason all political parties promote it (while campaigning), besides the populist parasocial emulation for votes.

this article is brought to you by the fat pigs that push opensourced code stealing at the top companies into closed source systems that gets rewritten (on top of mit/apache licensed code) again and again under the guise of "innovation" .

what the cathedral gave us? wifi and usb standards that add literal nothing and just update the encapsulation frequencies every now and then with great fanfare.

or maybe apple changing from bash to zsh?

this thread is full of pundits complaining about gnu autotools but they are not aware of the move to different systems being discussed in very open forums. mostly people repeating propaganda they hear while being allowed to feel smugly supperior and still having no knowledge of the topic.

gpl is not creating a perfect world because of fools who fall for this.

the article fails to mention that whatsapp already have central knowledge of shared content.

something very hidden is the fact that group messages are encrypted using facebook owned keys. also the recently introduced business account are completely owned and controled by facebook in terms of encryption keys.

basically what india and other countries are pushing is not ground breaking academic concepts, but just plain good old sovereign rigths to demand data the foreign company already have

i still cannot understand why american (i am assuming) education is based on competition and ranking students.

almost like the point is NOT education at all.

your comment makes no sense in my universe. Thankfully.

i run non default browser settings (disable canvas and force my fonts)

i see captcha everywhere. and try to avoid when i can. basically if it is a comercial site, bye. but gov sites are using it too now.

from time to time i even get into captcha hellban. which should be criminal since they are used in gov sites. hellban is specially cruel as your entire IP is served the same 10 round of images infinitelly.

lol. google is sweeping the entire internet not catering to chrome users under the rug and you're concerned with popups on the top 10 bigger sites

people are forgetting w11 will be the useless windows version.

everyone knows that between actual windows versions (3, 95, vista, xp, 10) there are the BS money making by selling flashy badges to PC OEM manufacturers (98, me, forgot the name , 8)

so obviously w11 can be safely ignored by everyone.
