I think that's reasonable. My only gripe is that making small sets of changes is often faster to do by hand than waiting on llm reasoning, so I've found it amounts to very little speedup.
I really feel this. I find myself reaching for CC, typing half a prompt, and then realizing I could've done the task faster myself. But CC is exciting, and feels* fast, so I keep reaching for it. Somehow it feels worse to just do the work.
I'd be very interested in any recommendations in that vein. I've been really enjoying the themes of embodiment in the new Marathon, where your body is disposable, woven silk with unfamiliar organs, while your consciousness is totally owned by a corporation.
100%. If I buy something, it's mine. I should be able to resell it, modify it, or generally work on it however I see fit. Licensed digital media bound to platforms is different (barring some kind of NFT solution?) but an OS that my phone cannot function without (and that cannot be replaced in many cases) absolutely must be under my jurisdiction.
