Happened to me, already read all of these reddit comments. Fell into a massive depression the day after starting supplementation, extreme hopelessness. Had to stop, went away after a few days.

Reject anything made in bad faith and humor anything in good faith, as is everything

It could be anything. Better air, light, dynamic environments (in your home everything is where you last left it) - visual, sound, touch. It could be a higher rate of new faces seen and more social interaction. It could be grounding. There's a million variables to control for here

for elevenlabs in general, pricing too high. if we put the price to punch ratio of kokoro at 100, elevenlabs is probably a 35

Growing up with this stuff in it's infancy, it was like there were two worlds, the digital one and the real one. Most people out in the real world didn't use the internet much and even if you spent tons of time online, they could pull you up to speed with their ways of thinking and behaving. Kids nowadays don't have that, their parents are phone addicts, their neighbors are phone addicts. They can't see themselves out of the maze because there is no one to guide them out.

To appease parents who insist there's a safety violation going on because their kids can't call them if there's an emergency.

A lot of them are simply taking issues out on the teachers. Like how people take issues out on the road.

I imagine they don't study at all however devote very large blocks of time to studying which they spend mostly distracting themselves and never working. I go to cafes every day. It has been a long time since I've seen a study group of youth doing work. They are mostly talking or distracting themselves. Even when they stop talking and appear to work, eventually they pick up talking again and you can tell they've been looming over the conversation topics in their heads the entire time.

They simply don't think studying or learning is cool and are more interested in gossip.

Well yeah imagine how much money there is to make in information when you can cut literally everyone else involved out, take all of the information and sell it with ads and only give people a link at the bottom, if that is even needed at all

The images bring with it their own unique set of problems. I was using it to help analyze UIs (before and after images) to determine if the changes I made were better or worse, but after using it for awhile I realized that it favored the second image in the comparison to an extent that made it difficult to tell which it thought was better. I suppose it's being trained on before and afters and generally the afters are always better!

I guess I see it like how I see any autofill, like the one above my keyboard on my phone right now. When I first got a smartphone and saw it, I was thrilled and messed around with it. I would play with it and see how things would go if I just spammed it to see how sentences turn out. Eventually I just cut it out even if it might save me time. I don't care about it anymore, and life isn't just about reaching the end of a sentence as quickly as possible.

However in the case of AI, I am not sure it helps me code any faster. I have to do tons of code cleanup when it messes something up and I "forgot" the logic of how the application was working because I let AI take the reins.

We need food carts really. I like the idea of using large kitchens to bulk produce hot food as well, however the density and traffic are very high to justify something like that.

I feel like the concept of food carts is very American. Such a simple, entry level business that anyone can do who is passionate, however there have become so many rules they've become impossible.

American streets no longer feel American or that they embody our brazen and unique American culture, but instead have become this very British, "do you have a license for that?" ordeal. Everything clean and tidy all of the grass cut neat. No raw spirit or passion. It disgusts me. Let some people sell food for heavens sake

I unsubbed because it didn't seem $10 / month helpful to me, to be honest. I subbed for awhile and thought it was magical and a gamechanger and eventually became bored, and it's suggestions simply weren't useful enough. The magic of auto fill disappeared for me and the gimmick was over.

I had a ton of headaches from blindly accepting it's output when I'm in a rush and then later on realizing that it made my code dumber and reduced functionality. There were nuances as to why I was coding things the way that I was, why I used solution C, and not solution A, when A was the most obvious and rote, but broke features.

I think anymore than 3 cups and you'll still have caffeine in your blood system at night, which doesn't seem healthy. I think it's easy to fall into a pattern of increased caffeine use through the circular pattern of drinking too much and getting terrible sleep, then ramping up the dosage the next day in order to feel awake.

I think it's important for people to recognize this little quirk and not to spiral into a pit of its tasty dark magic.

I attempted withdrawals the other day, going down from my usual of 8-10 cups down to 2-3 cups and the withdrawal symptoms are nightmares.

Establishing an appropriate relationship with caffeine is hard! It's hard to have confidence over the right course of action.

The studies seem likely that it is neuro-protective. However it appears to make you stress sensitive, particularly to mental stress. As someone who is prone to mental!/emotional stress but values anything that preserves mental function, what is the appropriate course of action?

I've decided to scale down to the typical healthy dose of 3 cups and see how this impacts me.

I think most niches right now are vulnerable to someone with passion to come in and completely change everything. The only exception being limited items like GPUs and oil.

Online dating for example is a complete hellscape and there's room for about a thousand passionate individuals to come in at various angles to try to improve it.

Verbatim has an "archival" brand which appears to be the gold disks.

m disks are interesting. can function as dvds and last 1000 years (allegedly). so if you're trying to write something to disk that you want the civilization after ours to be able to read it's a solid choice

I think it's possible that the increased efficiency of the employee due to generative AI leads towards cuts short term but growth long term as companies become increasingly competitive with each other due to a more leveled playing field.

I think people have memories of goldfish nowadays and the second hiring picks back up everyone will forget all about this
