Having worked for a company with security concerns and tightly coupled to Microsoft, Lynx fucking sucks and a MS Slack alternative would have made my short time there much more bearable.
Have you tried listening to podcasts during the commute? I've found that doing so helps me fit in some extra "learning" time that would otherwise just be me sitting in traffic.
I can give some recommendations of the ones I listen to if you're interested! Mostly front end development / shop talk type stuff.
To post an answer on /r/AskHistorians you have to have a degree in the field in question or proven experience in the field.
I don't think that people who consider Wikipedia the end-all-be-all knowledgebase should be considered for anything.
