Good point - its not a previously inexistent mechanism - but AI leverages it even more. A russian troll can put out 10x more content with automation. Genuine counter-movements (e.g. grassroot preferences) might not be as leveraged, causing the system to be more heavily influenced by the clearly pursued goals (which are often malicious)
My problem with emojis is finding them. No, I dont want to search hundrets of tiny images for making a point. No, I dont want to learn another alphabet with thousands of symbols. Just _write_ is so much easier. Or link it with a unicode name to be able to refer to it without searching
Thats totally ungraspable for human brains, mind blowing!
Thats 10^23 kilometers, the same order of magnitude as the avogardo constant, means e.g. 14 gramms of carbon correspond to about 6.22 * 10^23 atoms of carbon, its the same magnitude to some of the larger smallest things...
Thanks for the analysis, interesting to read!
What about the lime-burning for cement, does it imply "only" net-carbon neutral as all the captured carbon is released upon cement production? And what about iron smeltering? I suppose most carbon is also released in that process?
True and interesting point - but if you're able to produce as cheaply to "push out" dirty competitors and still have a net saving when including transport, it would still make sense I suppose. Also, there are always relatively close sun intensive regions near major customers: mongolia / tibet china, north africa europe & middle east, the US has its own deserts...
also, transport is a minor fraction compared to the net saving
How "flexible" is the production? I mean during peak-sunny hours the price of electricity is well below that mark in some regions of europe? And would it e.g. make sense to scale up in a very sunny region & produce your own power? Last question: Do you need electrical power or heat? If latter, would a more efficient thermo-solar power plant make sense? Best of Luck! :)
