Also, how can it be surprising that a brain-related phenomenon is not well understood?

I mean, I can think of a few brain-related questions with no good answers:

- What is consciousness and how does a brain become conscious?

- How and why is one specific consciousness attached to one specific brain (& body)? Why am I controlling my body and not yours?

This should get more attention (& upvotes).

No. I created an app in one of these (a year ago). I have 5 serious competitors. Each are decent apps that have been in the game longer than mine - mine is not necessarily better, just with a slightly different angle.

It has about $3.5k MRR, is still growing and I spend maybe 5-10 hours a month on it.

Also, I had no brand before that.

> "the value I get out is worth more than the data I put in". And that's a perfectly valid view.

Sure. But that is only a valid view if the seller of services is transparent about the price.

Currently, I have absolutely no idea what I am paying to use Google.

One thing that bothers me: Why is "No GitHub" wrong?

I have absolutely nothing on a public GitHub. Does that make me a worse software engineer?

Dane here. Also never heard of this.

People often bring cake to work on birthdays, though.

The difference is in Facebook amplifying the content's reach just because it is controversial and generates interactions.

Most serious media outlets care about the truth of the content they share. Facebook simply does not.

I also thought this was already general consensus. I.e. that face masks are used to prevent you from spreading disease, if you are infected but without symptoms.

Fine - but what do I say instead then?

It sounds like vaporware.

In Denmark you are not entitled to a full salary during your leave. You are entitled to around 2k€ per month from the government (if you qualify).

However, it is a quite common employee benefit, that the employer pays full salary for part of or for the entire parental leave. The employer is then reimbursed from the government for the first 2k€ every month.

Nothing prevents you from quitting when you get back from parental leave. Except that you probably already have a lot on your mind with a little child - why add the extra pressure of switching jobs?

In Denmark we also only have two weeks paternity leave. But then between 7-12 months to split between mother and father. However, the most common (in my experience) is that the mother uses the full leave.
