Don't eat anything 4-5 hours before sleep, no computer / mobile few hourse before, eat light food, less meat, sugar, fat, milk... Drink loads of water, 1.5-2L (but not before going to sleep, kidneys have to rest) and you need loads of exercises. I would also suggest to get one of these recordings to help you calm down http://www.oceen.com/store/
I know, it's very tricky thing. As I said, it took me years to put some discipline into it and still I feel I use computer too much. My goal is to build business to that level that I work only 30-60 min on computer every day.
I had similar problem, for quite long time, and probably I still do from time to time.
What really worked for me was to schedule time offs when I simply don't do certain tasks online. It took some time to implement that and my mind was playing tricks with me all the time.
I decided that my mornings, until 9:00 and evenings, after 19:00 are offline times and I would only use internet in the case of emergency or if some project has to be finished on time.
I was trying to quit reading news completely but than I realized that considering that I'm running online business I can't really do that, I have to be on top of the things to make sure that our services are always up to date.
I limited my reading activities only on few sources, Tech Crunch, Hacker News, Twitter (following max 50 people) and Facebook (also max 50 people). I give myself only 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening to go through my sources and to respond in some cases.
Information overload is serious stuff but majority of people are still not aware of that. It's going to become one of the biggest problems in next decade and only way to fight it is to discipline yourself in same way as you discipline yourself with food.
Exactly, just do it again and again, over and over... eventually things will fit together and you will get it right. The spirit of not giving up and to keep learning from mistakes is the only that counts in the end.
People use twitter (and other SM sites) mostly as emotional toilets, throwing out there whatever gets to their mind. This wil not change likely, it's sickness of the masses who are mostly not taking things responsible, some do but they get buried by this random nonsense.
Thats why I follow on Twitter maximum 50 people and only those who are focused on providing useful information and not whether they got drunk yesterday and today they woke up with huge headache.
Saying that you are sending prayers and light on twitter to people in need is just one big excuse for doing nothing and continuing with your breakfast while you feel good about yourself.
Great advice. Funny enough, just today I had idea to start writing a book. I wrote one page introduction and than got bored. Will have to train my writing muscle bit more.
As far I understand, the earth is undergoing massive acupuncture by the universe. Stay calm earth, lay down on your massage table and relax. It will pass soon.
I suggests to watch these documentaries, The Secret and What The Bleep Do We Know.
Observer IS the creator. He shapes the reality on his own image and beliefs. It's not easy to grasp the whole concept, specially considering that everybody is projecting different realities and they have to be combined together, but to me this just confirms that the world is based on contradictions and if we are able to accept those contradictions we will understand more, but we will never understand everything. There is no single answer on any question, there is only an answer for that particular person and that's most far we can go.
I don't get it why is more profitable for studios to sell movies than to rent it? Makes no sense. But in any case, Netflix is making them run for their money. I just hope they will soon be available in Europe too.
I find so annoying to hear all those people screaming Google is evil, Facebook is evil, Apple is evil... just bunch of nonsense. These companies are having their ups and downs, learning things on the way, but their primary goal is to help humanity to communicate and grow. Our obligation as users is to give them feedback and they have to adjust themselves to that, which they always do, even if its sometimes against their own financial interest.
I had several flip outs because of these captcha things. As it says in article, some of them are simply impossible to read. I'm definitely not putting any of those on my website, there are plenty of other solutions out there.
I seriously don't see how competition can catch up with Apple any time soon. They build such infrastructure and line of products, all tight extremely well together, looking amazing and they keep improving it almost every 3 months so that from competitors perspective even to decide from where to start is extremely puzzling.
I can tell for sure that Android will take most of the market, maybe even 60-70%, but this will not be because of quality or user experience, it will only be because of cheaper prices, low end products and trying to please mainstream. But I'm pretty sure that Apple will be happy with their part of the cake with high quality products, high margins and very loyal and happy costumers. Just brilliant from any point of view.
Really good examples. It also matches with recent discoveries in quantum physics where they proved that reality is shaped by observer. Whatever we are focusing on it will make it grow. So if our focus is on the problem it will make it bigger, if our focus is on solution it will grow too.
That's why we say that we are in control of our own destiny, it just depends how we observe reality.
