A lot of what is in here just feels like someone being a cry baby. If you don't like the way a website is being run, used, or maintained, then don't use the website.
These "dark patterns" aren't actually "dark patterns", it's a buzz word to make the purpose of the object on the page seem malicious or unwanted. Misdirection isn't a "dark pattern", and if you paid for a service that keeps charging your credit card, you didn't read the fine print.
even with tips, hes not making 14/hr. it says he could retire, i highly doubt that.
hes uneducated, it says so in the article. why is there an article about an uneducated busser (and his busser family and friends) on here? wtf is going on... is this a pity article? i dont get it.
I will also be glad when this craptocurrency nonsense is done. It was never meant to be a long term investment or to be used in the way people are trying to use it.
Once people stop thinking it's a cash crop maybe cryptocurrency can start being useful again.
I disagree and don't think the author knows what is going on in "the real world" today.
I still read books that I buy from the bookstore and would NEVER own a kindle. In fact I don't know many people who do own a kindle. My grandma owns one, she doesn't even use it anymore.
I still own and buy DVD's. I watch more videos on prime, netflix, and get movies from various other sources. However, when you don't have internet (or a TV with a USB), DVD's are still there.
Owning a car is still necessary in most places, and is still sought after by teenagers and adults alike.
I don't use a cell phone. I have one but its been dead in a drawer for over two years. I don't feel the need to have people be able to reach me 24 hours a day, it's a nuisance, and people are relying on it way to much these days.
The article is just a rant, an opinion of people (because there is an editor AND an author for some reason..) who don't know how to adapt and can't even see how to adapt to a changing world full of technology.
I couldn't find any parts I searched for, like a common voltage regulator. Even searching parts already found on the octopart site (https://octopart.com/ft232rl-reel-ftdi-19172117), didn't come up in the demo.
It seems mainstream media takes so long to get actual news, people have been using CBD for years but now that it's becoming more popular it's okay to report on it.
I wonder what other great medical news the mainstream media is refusing to report.
This title is severely misleading, the article discusses pigments in tattoo ink, not tattoo ink in general. I am covered in tattoos, none of my tattoos have color.
"but researchers suggest dirty needles aren’t the only risk of the age-old practice"
I have also never seen an artist use a dirty needle, and would never let a dirty needle hit my skin with ink.
