"I do like the RTX 2080Ti but I just love the Titan V! The Titan V is a great card and even though it seems expensive from a "consumer" point of view. I consider it an incredible bargain." .. quite hard to read as a phd student..
However, my approach was to start with an more-or-less small project with react / redux / typescript. In the beginning it was a pain, but now it works.. mostly.
I use Wire, which is a neat p2p encrypted messenger:
- with an open source app / server
- you don't need a mobile phone and you can use a desktop app
- Voice call works perfect (really good alternative to skype)
- no random crashes at all
- (a colleague of mine diskussed some 'minor' issues on twitter - and they fixed in within few days)
The audio/video call doesn't work as expected. Thats true.. But for me, the reason for that could be my old Iphone.
However, I extensively use the chat functionality on iphone/android/linux/osx and that works perfect. And I really appreciate that I can logged-in, with multiple devices at the same time.
Since I'm a Wire-messenger fanboy, I'm really happy to see an analysis of the messenger. So thanks for that!
Regarding the last point:
"So, I sent a message to the CTO of Wire, Alan Duric, asking why the server was closed. He immediately got back to me to let me know that releasing the source code for the server was underway. When I pushed for specifics, I got the following response:
“License will be the same GPLv3 and timeline is next year.”" [0]
Since I'm very happy with the usability of the WIRE messenger I would appreciate if someone would do a formal security analysis on their (modified) axolotl protocol.
