I love linux (and bash) but can’t understand the desire to use it as a desktop OS, especially when you can work in Terminal on Mac. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Nicotine alternatives help people stop smoking, and Juul’s is the most innovative and compelling yet. Demonize them if you will but they have helped a lot of people’s health.

I use a similar method of easy-to-remember numbers in conversion between celsius to Fahrenheit:

  0 = 32
  10 = 50
  20 = 68
  30 = 86
Then roughly, subtract/add two F for every extra C. It’s easy to remember 32 and 50, while 68 and 86 are reversed.

Very cool idea!

I use <spacebar> and <shift-spacebar> when reading the web; paging up/down is more comfortable for me than scrolling.

Kindle is also excellent for reading because it uses distinct pages. I set my text large and columns narrow, then it's easy to speed-read by scanning my eyes down. It results in many more page turns, but it results in faster reading and less strain.
