All the more reason to consider the HTC Vive or Steam Index if interested in being an early adapter of VR where their achievements can be more collaborative.
Side note regarding Portal and other "social hardware", I can't imagine there being user-friendly privacy toggles when facebook owns the complete stack..
I think completely different publications is a bit exaggerated. According to wiki:
"The New York Times Magazine is a Sunday magazine supplement included with the Sunday edition of The New York Times. It is host to feature articles longer than those typically in the newspaper and has attracted many notable contributors."
I also was curious as to how supplement was defined within the context of publishing and again according to wiki:
"A supplement is a publication that has a role secondary to that of another preceding or concurrent publication. A follow-on publication complements its predecessor, either by bringing it up to date (e.g. the Index Catalogue), or by otherwise enhancing the predecessor's coverage of a particular topic or subject matter, as in the Tosefta."
The difference is Microsoft doesn't provide you with your phone service do they?
I think this highlights the dangers of bundling all of your services through a single point of failure. Something Google probably is the most known for.
Is this really a classic example when the article states:
The alternative plan was recommended by a panel of experts convened by Mr. Cuomo, who called the new design a “major breakthrough’’ that had been used in Europe but had not been tried in this country.
“What these people have designed is the first of its kind in the United States of America,’’ said the governor who was joined by the engineering experts who had come up with the plan.
