I like that Samsung Internet has a standard dark mode for all websites. Super useful especially when browsing the web just before going to sleep. That's one of the major reasons I prefer it to all other mobile browsers
However, I wish it supported the standard dark mode API so that I could get the original implementation of dark mode for specific websites, and the default for all other sites without a dark mode. Now, that would be truly special.
My first impressions using this are really good. I've been using DDG on mobile for many months (while sticking with Google on the desktop), but increasingly grew frustrated with the overall speed, and results on some queries...so I reluctantly switched back to Google on mobile this week.
Unfortunately, looks like there's no way to set this as the default on Samsung Internet at the moment so I'm going to stick with Google for now.
I remember posting this exact meme in an article on my blog and then cross-posted to a different site. Was asked to remove it from the site due to "how it objectifies women and perpetuates shallow stereotypes". I didn't give a fuck, but I removed it because they make their rules. Of course, I left it on my blog.
Not sure why you suggest Rust as if it's a 1:1 replacement for Go when it's not in reality except maybe for CLIs. Rust also has its own trade offs that may make it unsuitable for OP.
This has been my experience. I love the fact that the standard library itself is written in Go, so it's easy to see what exactly is going on and even learn some idioms that way. It's refreshing for me personally as I had a JavaScript background before learning Go
I think many are too quick to crucify the guy after reading a few quotes. I mean, I can see how some of those comments may be construed as misogynistic, but I would need to read the whole book to understand the context, and I'll definitely not pass judgement before doing that.
