I think for them it makes sense as they are 100% dependent on imports and food can hardly grow outside. In the UK or US doesn't make much sense I agree as we have plenty of fertile lands. What do you think?
Yes you're right. But I think what they call super app is something like wechat, a single place that gather/merge services like facebook/uber/amazon/whatsapp/youtube. So users don't leave this single ecosystem that has only one password, one access and most importantly your credit card is stored without having to create 1000 of differents accounts around the open web.
Yes, it seems like the survey was paid for by PayPal. But I don't think they are the ones that would win this super app war. Maybe uber is more likely with food/trips/bookings but shopping and communication are still missing. Facebook no way, google can't innovate, can't think of any of the actual players.
