why not recycle?
I can buy these refrigerants today.
You say you are working to replace them with greenhouse safe refrigerants. Why are these not economically priced and competitive on the market?
This was really poor science. It graded me as 85% likely to be female.. there's nothing "female" about me. They also only used two questions to characterize each trait they were looking for. They also attempted to measure honesty and empathic-ness, something that women will always purposefully report as being higher than it is in reality.
The only way to build a privacy respecting world wide web is to actually build it. A honor-basis system of alternative monetization where advertisements are removed and the content provider achieves remuneration for their work is absolutely not in any way insurance against tracking. If anything, it means that overt tracking methods are less likely to be used.
I would rather use websites where overt tracking is used and I know about it than websites where A/B scripting, header capture and other covert methods are used to surveil, influence, and characterize me as a potential user. The very notion of A/B headlines upsets me. You look, you see content, you look again- it's been changed!
A truly privacy respecting world wide web would consist of a VPN that completely replaces the worldwide internet and enrolls you in a nym mixnet system which fully provides routing, dns, and internal node points for all websites, complete with micropay built into the access of the site. Traversing the site equals micropayment for the use of the site. A SIPRnet for the people. Something we will never have and something which the government will do everything possible to erode because it would mean the end of the surveillance state.
"We provide evidence that cardiac PCs are not infected by SARS-CoV-2. Importantly, we show
that the recombinant S protein alone elicits cellular signalling through the CD147 receptor in
cardiac PCs, thereby inducing cell dysfunction and microvascular disruption in vitro."
The conclusions are on the first page.
The S-protein alone does this and not the virus. Anyone who fails to see this commented
after only reading the headline and not the article. This is literally the smoking gun.
This is the end of the vaccine.
It doesnt matter they'll switch over to a drug soon anyway
Why don't we use neopentane or another intermediary hydrocarbon with different properties which is safer for the environment and find a way to convert methane to that gas and use it as a fuel
Why you got 6 points for linking to an article which represents a complete lack of editorial oversight and the kind of sham journalism which today's media presents is beyond me, but for anyone who wants a little bit more context:

this. tempeh is actually really edible, nutritious, and digestible, it merely requires proper processing to be edible- much like with kimchee western chefs and processing partners don’t know how to capture the essence because they insist on taking it down to the base and trying to integrate that to western tastes which means it turns out bland
wired of course is useless sham shit journalism about the latest in corporate manufactured food substitutes that taste like ass and have the nutritional profile of chemically treated cardboard
failing to mention tempeh and tempehsure even once in the entire fuckity article
The key item in the article is that if enough content is marked contentious apple will automatically decrypt your phone for you and disable your encryption. So apple's not merely helping law enforcement find contentious content, they are enabling a back door that makes phone encryption essentially swiss cheese.
In 5 years: Apple and Google to scan your phones for politically contentious content and automatically remove it for you/report it to the authorities so you can get the proper help you need to understand what you should believe.
I've loved my apple phones for many years now, but it seems this is the end of my relationship with apple. I will be using an open source phone next.
if you need to do something, use python. if you need to do it while using complex math, use R. if you need to do it in real-time, use c. if you need to do it reliably with memory constraints, use ada. if you need it to work under arbitrary and difficult conditions and continually without pausing for weeks or years on end, use rust. for everything else, there is javascript.
These are all extremely cool approaches to the problem but unfortunately they are all high tech and most require a substantial amount of complex component fabrication to work.
I have been thinking about a passive, low cost system.
It would use series of rows of shell-like structures with fresnel attributes and coatings that simultaneously cause water to condense on heated surfaces and then drain into subsequent rows of shells, a process that passively cycles with the heat of the sun. A large fraction of each row's output collects in a tank that is periodically raised to backflush the row and reduce the saline buildup.
Nonsensical- this logic selectively measures the weight of the brain mass of an organism or collective of organisms as a means of determining how much suffering is inflicted. We may as measure suffering by testicle size or some other arbitrary factor. This is an argument seeking a conclusion, not a reasonable estimation on relative morality. They have set up a strawman!
We must put a far heavier weight on neural complexity in determining the moral cost of a life. We must also put a heavier weight on the lifespan-
an organism that lives longer has more chance to become cognizant it is suffering.
The complexity and richness of that neural network is what determines the relative meaning it has to the suffering induced.
Honestly this just feels like karma. I'm banned from some rooms for being too eccentric and making too many waves with some of the things I say. Those people then proceed to ban me from other rooms. I don't violate TOS, I'm not(usually) a troll, but I am a free spirit who is eccentric and chooses to express contentious views that are not de rigueur acceptable among redditors and sensitive greybeards. The fact that, anonymously joining some such rooms on freenode, I notice those who were hostile to me looking to leave- I find that joyously karmatic. By all means, andrew should take the network in a new direction.
