They'd rather post politics or opinions about random events in their lives. HN has become 9gag and is ultimately useless for people who are interested in tech startup news, which it was once known for. Very unfortunate indeed.
Sadly, the author of this drivel appears to be completely serious. And, of course, anyone who dares to disagree with her is simply sexist. Women like her are only hurting those in the field that are actually valuable contributors. How very sad.
Sounds like the interview did exactly what it was supposed to do: weed out substandard applicants who can't follow directions and are difficult to work with. I would've tossed your ass out too. When multiple interviews are turning out that way, it may not be the interviews that are the problem...
What the hell is a "web rider?" And you may want to get rid of the excessive delay on the about page showing to get rid of the "why did I just scroll down to an empty page?" reaction. Overall, I see nothing to entice me to invest any time learning another redundant framework. What makes this special enough to spend time and effort on?
And the entire article shoes how to take something simple and easily understandable to something that looks like complete garbage, which ends up doing the same thing.
