Well... your high-end is not my high-end.

Truly high-end luxury watches are priced in many multiples of 100,000 $ and are all mechanical.

I will never be able to afford any of them.

For example, this (pre-owned, good condition):

But it will result in a fat bonus for Asha Sharma.

The only thing that truly counts, for her.

Yes... why!!

Let's go back... ah, I see mile-high glaciers over London.

Global warming did occur in the past as well.

A long time ago I worked in the video codec area and was shown then that the most difficult videos to compress (i.e. with the most compressed bytes resulting in the file) were cartoons, because of the sharp edges, etc.

Not sure if it is still the case today with the latest generations of ultra-advanced codecs.

Maybe... but the re-hiring probably involved very substantial salary raises for the re-hirees.

An expensive process.

No problem with big SUVs ...

Just cap their top speed at 40 mph, use thin A pillars to better protect pedestrians and make them ugly as hell.

But make damn sure they comfortably transport the family to the soccer game, yes...

After what just happened to Anthropic, no way in hell will I ever use, support or give money to Kushner's OpenAI.

Well... if you just take 2 minutes to read the article, you will see that a mother killed her own son in the driveway.

That alone should be enough to get SUVs off the road, in my book.

"Canada doesn't have the free speech laws like we do in the US..."

Yep. And that is a very good thing. Hate speech is illegal here.

Forget about EVs.

Most regular SUVs should be taken off the road.

Look at this example: a dozen kids aligned in a neat row in front of the SUV and the soccer mom drivers can see none of them!

Having fun building something in software I always pushed for "when I will find the time".

Being proud of the result.

THAT is a real game changer LLMs allowed me, both in my professional and my casual life.

For example this:

or this:

Very cool! Love it...

But...

The battery is likely to be squeezed quite a bit after this is put in my wallet, and in my pocket.

Lithium batteries do not like to be squeezed. They tend to signal their distress with some type of heat, usually accompanied with a small fire and probable smoke as well.

A distressed battery is very insistent upon everyone to see it's state of mind...

I am in the french-speaking part of Canada.

In some Netflix shows, they say words in the english audio that are translated in French with different words with a similar meaning, and with english close-caption words that are also different from the original english audio.

Quite amazing.

200$ per month per seat is nothing .

A single 3D CAD license pack for the guys in our R&D group costs multiple thousands of dollars per seat, per month.

It's about time software seats get some love too.

Ah... Purely theoretical result.

Thank you!

I was searching for the github repo with a cool example encrypt/decrypt.

Silly me.
