Not quite classical - "jazzical" perhaps? There is a freeform nature to the music that is more Free Jazz than classical, but the underlying classical style of the input is still readily apparent.

You could try clearly printing the numbers on the rods - connecting the abstract symbol to the physical unit of measure. No science behind this, just the gut feeling of a father of 3.

Wonderful book, but if Norman is updating it, I really hope he drops the 'POET' backronym. It was contrived and awkward, and it's repeated inclusion felt seemed more like a slight to the publisher who changed the name from Psychology Of Everyday Things to its more approachable name.

Otherwise known as three two-hour papers - hardly the stuff of legend! I'm not suggesting the papers are easy, just that by any measure, at this level the length is nothing remarkable.

Now there's a service I'd pay for! It wouldn't even have to sell the edited content, just an edit decision list that given the original video skips over all the dross on playback.
At one point Rails 4 was considering Test::Spec, and I for one was disappointed when that was dropped, as it was an opportunity to standardise on declarative style tests in a lightweight native library, and might have stood a chance of building enough momentum to build a groundswell of support.
As it is, while one can of course still use Test::Spec, you're likely to be in a small minority.
CarrierWave appears to support Rails 4; the rest are not doing anything special other than making jquery js acripts available in the asset pipline without manually installing them, so shouldn't cause any issues.
You'll have a bit of work to do to migrate to strong parameters, but you can always add the protected_attributes gem back to re-enable support for attr_accessible.

Is it just me, or do quite a few of these look like they've been auto-converted from a bitmap, and picked up jaggies in the process (icon-windows for example)?
It has also been suggested that the insider trading charge were trumped up as retribution, in that the CEO was accused of purchasing shares with 'insider' knowledge of government contacts, but that he was prohibited by law from publicly disclosing those contracts.
