This is ridiculous. Dozens if not hundreds researchers have confirmed the high MW oligomers correlated with pathogenesis. I have. To say that he found this or everything relied on this theory is absurd. We've know this since the early 90's when Lesne was in high school or earlier (e.g Glabe and Cotman's work at UC IRVINE and Christian Pike now at USC , my work etc.) . this is way before Lesne even considered a career. It used to be called "micelles' or soluble abeta. Also the post doc supervisor repeated the data and found the same thing so she took him at his word. I can't stand this ridiculous media that make this out a scandal and create false disinformation that the entire hypothesis is based on this.
