I think you missed my point. If there was a call for violence like in your hypothetical scenario, then the tweet should be removed and legal action taken. It is not covered under any free speech protections.
If it was my app, I wouldn't use any. My recommendation only shows how out of touch I am with social providers since I haven't touched them in probably 4 years. Thanks for the heads up with the Apple and Google requirements.
Haven’t done anything with Apple sign in, but I worked with a lot of other providers before. If you have multiple options, users might forget what service they used. This becomes an even bigger problem if the paid for a service with a different provider and can’t find their purchase. If you do use something like this, only having one provider (only Apple) makes things less confusing.
While I mostly agree you, I think “never valid” is a bit extreme. My uncle was hit by a drunk driver that turned left into his lane at the last minute on a straight road.
These type of incidents, which are rare and can’t be avoided, is why I took my bike off the road and only take it to the track.
Maybe the first rule of riding is “it’s not the safest form of transportation and you must accept the risk”?
