IRS flagged me as deceased. Institutions acted on it. Closed accounts. Condolence letters. Clerical error at local office it was deemed. No culprit. No repair action.
Took 2 years of bonkers discussions with copious notes and pain on a biweekly follow-up basis to resolve.
You are the only one who can fix your problems with a spaghetti mess like this. You must lead it to the finish line.
LIKE THIS: we use Upserve for our restaurant POS’s. We have had a new support lead every few months since the original team and CEO, Angus, left. Since then, the product has been sold several times and the product hasn’t changed, and more and more standard functions fail. Then you get on support and wait 90 min and the queue shuts down when everyone goes to line. It’s shameful. We’ll be leaving for another provider soon - just need to confirm credit card pre authorizations.
I recently (pre-COVID19) sold all my Amazon and replaced it with Apple due to these issues. I feel Apple Pay, and the fast followers, will drive shopping to more platforms than Amazon by reducing friction for customers of independent websites (supported by USPS, UPS, Fedex... which Amazon has decided not to compete with anymore). With the Amazon COVID19 shipping delays, I’ve established many new shopping relationships online, and I hope that is the experience for many others, changing the market. The CEO of Shopify gives great talks about the important of this, so I do support that platform at this point.
I cannot go back to 27” - ultrawide is game-changing for me.
Basically, it comes down to working on 3 interfaces seamlessly, versus two with a single screen. Think REFERENCE, ACTION, SOURCE/DESTINATION.
Couple that with using Spectacles (for Mac) to move windows in position with the keyboard, and Mouseless App to master keyboard shortcuts, and you’re flying.
I considered ditching my ultrawide to buy the new iMac 5K 27”, but it was more geared to 2 interfaces, not 3, so I couldn’t. Even though I prefer the hardware over my MacBook Air 11” 2015 - maxed out.
I love my LG 34UC80-B 34-Inch 21:9 Curved UltraWide. The Sceptre C305W-2560UN 30-inch 21:9 Super Curved Ultrawide is a great budget option.
Bloomberg is 100% right.
