I made a website that displays hourly weather forecasts from the NWS: https://www.subraizada.com/weather/kbmg

You can make a version for your location here: https://bitbucket.org/subraizada3/weather-generator/src - it should just generate a single HTML file which you can host anywhere.

An older version also showed the 'normal' weather.gov forecast embedded to the left of the hourly forecast, you can get that if you copy/paste the deleted part of this commit back into the python file: https://bitbucket.org/subraizada3/weather-generator/commits/...

I really like the NWS's hourly forecast charts, and use those as my primary weather source. You can see an example here (scroll right if on mobile):

I'm not sure if this is the same type of un-easyness you're referring to, but the whole video made me feel physically un-easy. The video is rendered at a very low framerate, and that combined with the fast motion of the camera is almost nauseating.

Aside from the low FPS, at 14-15 seconds, when the camera zooms past two skyscrapers on its left, I very quickly noticed (without having to pause the video and examine it) that the the buildings had low-res textures compared to what you would find in a video game or compared to real life. Perhaps this, combined with the low FPS, is what makes the experience so uncomfortable.

But while this may not be good for close-up fast moving shots, it certainly does seem to have useful applications (see 0:27, 0:33, 0:45 in the video).

And it's still very impressive how far our technology has advanced - the first heavier-than-air flight was about 100 years ago, computers are also just decades old, and yet right now we are using algorithms to combine satellite imagery and images taken from the surface (street view) to make a 3D model of our world that is explorable in real time (the Google Maps website has this 3D view feature on it).

The SEC and FINRA (regulatory agencies) don't allow day trading for accounts with balances less than $25,000. If you exceed 3 (?) day trades in the past 5 days, your account is locked from day trading for 90 days (so if you buy a stock you will be unable to sell it that day). All exchanges enforce this rule, not just Robinhood.

No, it worked out of the box on the 15" model.

The GPU must have a HDMI 2.0 output for 4k@60, and this is usually not present on all but the most recent laptops, producing the 30 Hz limitation.

On the other hand, DisplayPort 1.2 supports 4k@60. This is built into the Thunderbolt 2 ports on Macs, so as long as the GPU supports DP 1.2 it will work.

On my MBP (15"), the DP(Thunderbolt) + HDMI ports are wired directly to the Nvidia GPU. Parent mentioned his computer only had the Intel Iris graphics (13" model), which apparently can't do 4k@60 (so my previous comment was incorrect :( ).

I recently bought a used 2013 MBP; while Apple specs say it can only do 4k@30, the DisplayPort output is in fact capable of 4k@60.

I use an Android without Google Play Services. Firefox (Fennec on F-Droid) probably isn't as fast as Chrome, but it's very usable. Being able to use desktop addons like uBlock is great. I haven't found any compatibility issues with the websites I use.

In the settings there's an option to add a 'Quit' button to the menu, which will clear all cookies / history / etc. when you quit FF using menu->quit (so your session is still saved if you just go to the home screen and come back later). IMO that's better than Firefox Focus, which has adblocking and ephemeral sessions built in but doesn't let you have tabs.

A speaker/headphone can produce sound with only the wire coming from your computer/phone, a magnet, and the cone. The electricity from the audio cable manipulates the magnetic field in the speaker, causing the cone to vibrate.

So while the audio cable is transmitting electricity into the headphones, it's just wrapped around a magnet instead of having other electric components.

A microphone is just the reverse: vibrations in the air move the cone and its attached magnet, which induces electrical current in the wire.

I'm not parent, but Overwatch runs very well on my computer with Wine + DXVK (Wine plugin(?) which translates DirectX to Vulkan). Performance is not noticeably worse than Windows.

Edit: I realize you may have been talking about HotS, not OW, but according to Google that should also work if you configure esync: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/wiki/How-to:-Esync

If you have a laptop with switchable graphics, you will need to use nvidia-xrun to enable Vulkan passthrough to the dGPU, but aside from that I just followed these instructions: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/wiki/Game:-Overwatch

Note that the Blizzard app will fail to launch with DXVK enabled, so you have to disable DXVK, launch Battle.net, enable DXVK, and then click the 'Play' button to start Overwatch. I made a few scripts for this, so I just do `./disableDxvk ... ./startBlizzard ... ./enableDxvk ... click play` to run the game.
