I pay for a SaaS that is an awesome finance/savings app. I pay 8 dollars a month, but I never use the app. They send out nice summary emails that are sufficient to what I need and I am comfortable with that. Don't be surprised.
I mean look at their share price man. You should really define 'complex'. I also recommend installing React Dev tools, you'd be surprised by how many large known websites run React apps.
If you're using a bare droplet or packaged container they offer, couldn't you just just set up an ansible script? Although, I might be over simplifying your uses.

Hola. Yeah, overall I hear people taking stances at FANG companies and such, especially in the AI and surveillance world. I believe that's going to be the big issue in the next decade. As for getting involved, I'd start looking at meet ups in your local area. Simple things such as going over privacy focused apps could go a long way.
Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Python is a pretty good all around language though. If you're in business school and will deal with numbers often, then it will be very beneficial due to the numerous math-related packages.
I genuinely think that unless your app requires significant power, i.e. graphics or such. Web-Assembly and PWAs will take over. The app stores will fight tooth and nail to keep revenue coming from their stores though.
