I am not optimistic about the future. I am very worried about what kind of world my kids are inheriting. Their grandparents’ generation doesn’t seem to give a flying fuck so long as their standard of living continuously improves. My grandparents are spinning in their graves.
When I read this article the other day I had the exact same thought. Is this simply correlation, or is it causation? Is teenage usage an indicator of a possible underlying condition that hasn’t fully manifest? Is it an early form of self medication?
I’ve been using the django-tasks library in production for about a year. The database backend and simple interface have been great. It definitely isn’t intended to replace all of celery, but for a simple task queue that doesn’t require additional infrastructure it works quite well.
