It’s not about the selfie it could be about who they might send it to. A better solution would be to talk to the child about what’s ok and not ok photo wise.

Most people didn’t go to college to eat canned beans. We went to college so we could stop eating canned beans.

What happens when it’s Judge Dredd AI robot here to sentence you based on automated systems and AI?

To the outer colonies for this one.

Yes my wife’s x7 has been through 2 water pumps and now the control and thrust arms were leaking hydraulic fluid. Only 60k miles.

That’s true however moving heat in the winter is much better than burning things.

Gas furnaces are 80%-98% efficient, heat pumps are 300-400%.

For me the last generation, F-series, was pretty much e46 3.0. You can only iterate so many times.

Neue Klasse is a bit odd but I thought the same thing about the F and G model runs. I’ll need to see it in person.

BMW is dethroning Mercedes and continually beating Audi sales in the US. I’m surprised so many people would buy a car if they thought it was ugly. Benz reliability has tanked and Audi is lackluster as usual.

My g05 X5 M60i is a great car, probably the best SUV I’ve ever owned. Fantastic gas mileage on long trips and more power than I need for when I don’t care. The Tesla interior was so cheap I couldn’t make the jump.

The PHEV X5 50e or 550e is what I want in a car. EV Range for my commute and daily stuff plus I can fill up instantly on long trips. I have 3 young kids so long stops are not ideal for me.

Agree with Neue Klasse, I’m more of an LCI guy myself when new models come around. I’m tempted to grab a g80 M3 before production stops but the idea of 3 kids kicking my Tartufo Carbon Buckets is a put off.

How’s that any different than the US? States determine what they can do.

The map isn’t too far off for July[1] considering how far Australia is from the Equator[2].

My area is similar to Sydney in your map. For Denver it’s the elevation that’s exposing them to more UV rays.

How many college kids are going to be flagged for using an em dash?

They should’ve done it a while ago before Microsoft acquired more studios.

NYC is spending around $68 billion to modernize their subway. Not sure what that’s says about Deutsche Bahn vs NYC/MTA but I’m sure both are not upgrading that much.

Not sure what I was expecting quality wise in Germany when I rode the DB rail between states and the Munich subway but it wasn’t much different than the US, except it much more expansive. Nothing fancy and it was late but I’d rather not pay for fancy here or there. Just make it work.

You’re sadly mistaken. Anything you do in public is public.

That’s normal where I live in the Southeast US from late May to late September. Plus 60-99% humidity, I can see the air in the mornings.

There’s something about 85F/30C and 80%+ humidity that prevents the temp from going much higher for a longer period of time.

Why can’t you imagine it? The console makers have been selling at a loss for 3 maybe 4/5 decades.

Edit: looks like it took 10 million PS5s to break even. The article is 5 years old I wonder if it’s true in 2026.[2]

> The existing industrial arrangement at the time was that of a bundled console-plus-cartridge business model, where the console manufacturer (say, Atari with its VCS/2600) sold the console at a loss and cross-subsidized it with the money made on cartridges sold with a huge profit margin.[1]

[2] It took Sony years to stop losing money on PS3 sales, but the company stopped selling the PS4 at a loss around six months after its debut in 2013. The PS5 has taken ever so slightly longer, but it’s clearly not repeating the costly exercise of the PS3 despite early reports suggesting Sony was struggling with PS5 pricing due to expensive parts.

Yes. Prior to flock, my city trialed LPRs attached to the local power company’s poles. In the first month, they recovered more stolen cars than any prior years total recoveries. I’ve got mixed feelings about Flock, LPRs, and what it allows people and governments to do.

I’m 100% sold on the results.

I have an ultrasound cleaner and it definitely vibrates and is noisy.
