the problem with the spitzer example is that Spitzer KNEW he was going to get caught ... some might see Spitzers actions as an "escape" for a man who wanted out, and had no way out from the track of success, except a moral failure.

with Audible in its repository, Amazon could easily offer customers the chance to pay extra, say $10 to $20, to buy a book in all three formats (print, audio, digital) and save you the hassle of re-buying a book in audio or for the Kindle that you already own or want to purchase in print-format.

we've traded focus & specialization for broad generalized learning in the hopes of producing 'well rounded' individuals (at least officially). While great in theory, in practice it fattens the coffers of our nation's largest (private) universities & secondary education systems.
i.e. apprenticeship v. general education
fact: public universities will increase tuition when the number of students graduating with degrees in <4 years increases.
overweight predicts inactivity but inactivity does not predict overweight. With the usual caveat that these are just associations, this is not consistent with the idea that inactivity causes overweight. It is consistent with the idea that overweight causes inactivity, or they are both caused by something else.
overweight is largely caused by diet composition. If that's the case, then changing diet composition is obviously going to be a more effective treatment than exercise, which doesn't address the root cause of the problem. This idea is supported by numerous diet intervention trials.
