I used to have a Canon Powershot for taking photos and videos before I had a smartphone with a good camera. Once I got an iPhone 7, carrying around a camera with comparable image quality just wasn't worth it anymore. I have an 8 right now, and the only cameras that substantially better quality cost about as much as a 12, which also has a good camera. Unless you are willing to splurge, the superior battery life, size, and utility of your phone will probably outclass any camera you are looking at.
Facebook is much bigger so the amount of upset users will be greater as well if it is removed. Plus all the big tech CEOs have their own little club so I doubt apple would mess with Facebook like that.

It's usually been in the government's best interest to fund and lend a hand to companies like these. SpaceX can't exist without government funding for the time being and probably quite a bit of time in the future. When they do manage to get people to mars it will be even more so in the government's interest to fund them.
