My website runs on a vps with NodeJS as the backend. I could easily self sign a certificate but chrome displays a huge warning to users. How about signing certificates for free google. Https is easy to implement but the fact that it costs is bs.
I disagree and here's why. The web platforms he mentions are for following the lives of people you like. Links get in the way on these specific apps. Especially on mobile where clicking links by accident is a dread. If you want to share your web links then post it on your blog. Make a link from Twitter to your blog. But DONT expect apps to allow you to spam your garbage links to others. That's what Reddit is for.
It looks nice and easier to read, but I signed up to this site a few days ago because of the bad/lack of css. I don't mind having to zoom in manually as I do on reddit too.
I have Atom and Brackets installed but see no reason to use them over Sublime Text.. My preferred text editor would be vim simply because I can code while ssh'd.
Richard Stallman is a legend. While most of us blindly agree to terms and conditions for crap proprietary software, he doesn't even need a GUI. He's one of my top inspirations.
Ok I like programming and got here by researching what agar.io's backend was. Also I wondered why the domain wasn't hackernews, thanks for letting me know!
