For some reason I still remember the Kmart in-store ad from the early 80s. It was about the photo development at the Camera Bar. It went something like "Kmart now offers the Goof Proof Picture Perfect guarantee..." I'd love to hear that again.
I have to wonder if Amazon's failure to recognize the obvious here has anything to do with Bezos' "we are willing to be misunderstood for long periods of time." That statement has always kind of bothered me. I get what he was trying to say but I have to think they believe they can innovate against markets.
I'm not opposed to what Musk is trying to do but how or why are auto dealers a monopoly? Those direct sales laws were originally created to preserve small business.
It wasn't a good logo to begin with. Lets start there. It's trying too hard to be literal and fit into the blue round boundaries of most other browser logos. And I honestly don't know whether the tail is supposed to be stylized fire or not. The asymmetry and distracting hi lights bother me too. In order to evolve and mature a logo it has to be solid to begin with. Otherwise updating it just makes it fall apart.
I wish it wasn't the case but sadly reddit does not deliver for advertisers. Any good pitch deck would include testimonials and case studies. Those ads on slide 8 with thousands of comments are run many, many months if not longer to collect all those comments. The comments I've received on my Reddit ads are a litany of haters. Why advertise to people not willing to support their advertisers and spend money? Not in every case but I have to believe by and large this is true. I will say for their pitch deck, they are representing their cat loving constituent well. So there's that.
Maybe I'm not seeing (no pun intended) it, but I don't want something distracting to me and others sitting on my face. I get lifecasting will be a cool thing but I'd rather have a discreet cam on my shirt collar or elsewhere on my person.
I'm not a Facebook hater but I don't have the time to keep up with all of their questionable tactics so I recently unliked everything and removed my profile and cover photos which I know understand are public. I also removed everything from my profile descriptions. Gaining my trust they are not.
