I have a keepass file that I keep fairly updated on multiple places, my phone being up to date.

A trusted family member has its password which is in their keepass.

In the event I am not around, I expect them to find the password and open the keepass.

Its less complicated this way

I have an HP wifi printer, 5820 I think. I haven't signed in to HP, haven't connected the printer to cloud.

Same for anything else. I don't see the whole "oh you need firmware update to improve the product". 90% of the time it just works.

So what happens if the fridge isn't given internet access ? Or washing machine?

They alleging you have broken their encryption.. DMCA would be appropriate I would assume in this case. OTOH, if there isn't a first party way to get an auth token or a way to connect your car with home assistant, I see that as a deficiency of service.

You need a genuine licensed excel to run the file and prepare returns. Thankfully you can file same returns online on the portal for free so they get a safe pass that way.

Indian tax departments use EXCEL VBA and force users to.use licensed microsoft excel to run the utilities so tax returns can be filed.

The reason given "for your own safety"

At the same time, the public tendering process makes no mention of the tools. The L1 uses excel and that inturn FORCES thousands and thousands into using paid excel.

I use masgrave but thats irrelevant. I also use libreoffice which works most of the time but yeah

I have been trying to ask people this but its havent gotten a satisfactory answer.

Sure alcohol is ingrained in society, sure Americans tried prohibition and all that but its not gloom and doom. Muslims who are about 2 billion choose not to consume alcohol and go about their lives without it.

They just do fine without it. How does that work for them? ?

I mean I have never consumed and never will so why is it that your society finds it acceptable?

Isnt tobabbo going down in consumption because it is being taxed shit out of?

Why can't you voluntarily try to influence your alcohol consumption by paying a "alcohol tax"?

There are benefits of not consuming alcohol, there are problems associated with alcohol, and people who try to convince alcohol is good for you are generally lying to themselves.

I have many apps that refuse to work. They try to open play store app which does not have logged in account.

Never owned an iPhone after 3GS because it became prohibitively expensive.

I have so many memories of cydia and there was this itools, some Chinese software that let me do more than iTunes.

Those were the days. I was rocking an html lockdscreen which was pretty cool.

When I got hands on original iPhone back in 2008, I remember my PC having less ram, less storage as that was a handmedown. It was freaking cool to have more compute in hand than what my xp machine did.

I wont call it anecdotal evidence but i am told, in "traditional" Greek medicine,tinnitus is a symptom of constipation.

Its told you fix constipation, your ringing ears will get fixed.

I know its not 100% but try to fix your bowel movement if it isn't working properly already.

I remember reading in tech magazines about the "foss" acheivement which went on to become Aadhar. Remember this was prior to 2007 I think.

The idea was your id would be an autehnticator of sorts. You need to verify yourself, the website asks Aadhar if the person is genuine, the website returns binary yes no. Same for you, is gender male? Or ages above 18?

They would not return any other data.

In the end, it became just another "formality" and tool for politicians and to flex muscles.

People ended up taking photocopies of your card "just in case" and "that's the norm" even when it was said that's a bad idea.

People still do Aadhar kyc but it is in hands of politicians now and the bureaucracy.
